I was told by a friend about this cake from Fratelli's Bakery on Commercial Drive. I'm not much into cream-filled cakes but I make an exception for this delecious Saint Honoré cake. The many textures of this cake are a pleasant suprise to the mouth. If you're ever in Vancouver, visit Fratelli's and sample the delicious breads, pastries and cakes, you won't leave disappointed.
Here are the ingredients:
"The Saint Honoré cake is made with a layer of puff pastry on the bottom, topped
with a layer of white sponge cake, Bavarian crean, buttercream, and Vermouth. On
top is a delicious combination of whipped cream and Bavarian cream-filled puffs
dipped in chocolate." Description from Fratelli's site
