We're so used to grey skies around Vancouver that it was a shock to see the brilliant colors of this sunset. Many people stopped and looked at the sky and some were even taking photos on their camera phones.

That sure is a big shot of color for Vancouver! Gosh, I haven't been there is so long, but I remember the gray and the moss and the "spitting" rain. But on the other hand, it always smelled to good - green and alive!
This must have been quite something if city dwellers were taking photos at rush hour! The tall buildings in the first photo made me think of children's construction bricks at first.
Deborah - yes, it was quite a sky watching show and you have to visit Vancouver again soon. We've been having crazy weather of late. Not much rain but certainly a lot of snow.
Lindab - it was such a rare sight that people were pausing and gazing at the sky. I should have taken some photos of the people looking at the sky that might have been interesting.

What a spectacular sunset to photograph the skyline against. Perfecto! The other three photos are gogeous too. Yes, we really appreciate sunsets when we haven't seen them for a while, don't we?

I've seen some spectacular sunsets around the islands up your way, but this one is wonderful. So glad you were able to capture it. I really like the first one with the silhouetted buildings interrupting the sky.

These are all just picture perfect... The one that I like the best is the first one.... others are reminded of different things with this shot. I have a picture of a Druids Temple... something along the lines of 'Stone Henge'
