Pike Place Market in Seattle has lots of vendors selling crafts, and one of the more interesting vendors was selling these liquor and wine bottles. They were melted flat and decorated at the stem. He said they were to be used as cheese platters. Aren't they unique? I'm not sure I would use it for cheese but it's a nice piece for a deck/porch table.

cool!!
Thanks rdl.
I would have one or two on a table with large size candles on them.
Or have a few of them strung up across the opening of a large window so the sun could shine through them.
Or have one hanging on the wall in my kitchen near the stove with a magnet on it so I could put a recipe on it and see it while working at the stove.
It is rather unusual. Rather a conversation piece I think than a real cheese plate.
"Hey look, how they made the bottle flat?"
Creative craft!
Mine can be found here
That's cool!
All I can say is that there are some very imaginative people over there. Very good.
I really like the look of tied raffia. Thanks for reminding me. ;-)
