The kids in my neighborhood started decorating this weekend for Thanksgiving and Halloween. I came upon this little display and thought it would make a cute first entry to the Ruby Tuesday meme.
I hope all my Canadian readers had a wonderful Thanksgiving yesterday.
Hi Chriss, That scarecrow is spankingly well-groomed. Well at least than the average types here in Sri Lanka. Over here, in addition to the original purose of scaring off crows and birds, our scarcrows are supposed to ward off evil-eye of the jealous onlookers (which can bring harm). So, scarcrows are common in paddy fields and building being newly built alike.
Thanks for all your great comments. Gallicissa, I'll have to find some of the regular types to show you. This is a very fancy scarecrow, I don't even think the birds would be scared of him. I never heard about using them to ward off the evil eye. Thanks for sharing that info.

He's a very stylish scarecrow. I like his flowing 'hands'. Nice debut for Ruby Tuesday.
Nice decoration for upcoming holiday.
